Domaine D'Auriac

Apart from the problem of finding a taxi from the centre of Carcassonne to get to the place everything there after was more than we’d hoped for. On arrival we were met by a warm and friendly lady got the evening going by guiding us down to the restaurant and the waiting staff who led us through the evening with great skill but friendliness as well. The food and drink were so far beyond what I was expecting that I’m not sure how we can go any better. 10/10 doesn’t do the place justice

My partner and I dined on the menu of the day with a choice of two different dishes for starter , main and dessert. Three different beautifully presented tasters wet our appetites.All the courses were beautifully presented with an excellent choice of wines to accompany them.We both like to take our time over our food with lots of talking and we have dined here several times before so the staff always give us plenty of time. No rush and always someone at hand when service is needed.. At the end of our delicious meal a plate of different flavoured marshmallows with our coffee.All in all a lovely experience and a great place for us to celebrate special occasions.Recommended with no reservations..

The restaurant is in a very nice position not far from Carcassonne. We were let down by a taxi service, called the restaurant and the owner sent her daughter to pick us up. Every plate we had was excellent and the accompanying wine selection was very good. The building is very nice and has been in the same family for a long Time. Personal service is their hall-mark.

Easy to find , in an interesting mansion , a little bit uptight but fun in its way . Both classic but also inventive French cuisine . Good advice from the waiters as to the meal selection and the wine and, last but not least, not seated close to the gossips of the other customers. A real pleasure for the end of a difficult year
